Yankees home run hitter Alex Rodriguez has struck out ... in love. His wife Cynthia has reportedly left him just three months after the birth of their second daughter, and now rumors having been circulating that A-Rod and Madonna may have a thing going on. Her reps have denied it, and A-Rod has refused to comment -- but this just adds fuel to the rumor fire that Madonna and Guy Ritchie's marriage is on the rocks.

Gossip sites have had a field day with photos of the Material Couple's son Rocco sporting a Yankees jersey this week. Never mind that the Yankees are one of the most popular sports franchises ... Honestly, can't a kid just be a baseball fan?

Further complicating the situation is the rumor that Cynthia left the couple's kids in Miami to shack up with rocker Lenny Kravitz in Paris. Cynthia's mother has publicly denied this is the case, and Lenny told the press: "Cynthia is a friend and is here with the godfather of her baby, who is also Alex's trainer, his wife and their baby girl. She came here to escape from everything happening in New York City ... I find it extremely hurtful that I am now being referred to as an adulterer."

Whatever the truth is in all of this, it seems A-Rod is channeling his frustrations at the plate. The slugger went 2 for 3 Wednesday night, scored four runs, and hit his 17th homer of the season (and the 535th of his career).
